Multi-Speaker Split-Screen

Every Speaker. Always in Frame.

Skapo spots when everyone on your podcast or panel shares the frame and gives each speaker their own slice of the vertical frame while they share it. No jumping around. No empty chairs. No manual cropping.

How it works

Works on Edited Footage

Edits that cut between a wide shot and close-ups are fine. The split shows while everyone's on screen and switches to whoever's talking on the close-ups.

Steady Framing, No Jumping

Each speaker's framing holds steady inside their slot. The frame never jumps around when someone reacts, leans in, or turns their head.

Never an Empty Seat

If your footage is mostly solo close-ups (like a podcast already cut between cameras), Skapo skips split-screen and just keeps whoever's talking centered instead. You never get a slice with an empty chair.

Split-screen questions

How do I make a split-screen podcast short with two people?

Paste the YouTube link or upload the episode. Skapo spots when both people share the frame and stacks them top and bottom, with whoever is talking in the top half, and switches to that person full height when your edit cuts to a close-up. The whole set of clips is usually ready in about 10 minutes.

Can Skapo split-screen three or four speakers?

Yes, up to four people on screen at once. Three get a pair on top and one full width below, four get a 2x2 grid. Beyond four the faces get too small to read on a phone, so that is where it stops.

Does split-screen work on Zoom, Riverside or StreamYard recordings?

Yes, when the recording shows everyone side by side in one row, which is how those tools show two or three people in gallery view. A 2x2 video-call grid is not split yet, so pick the side-by-side layout. When the recording switches to a single speaker view, the short follows that speaker.

What happens when my edit cuts to a close-up?

When the edit stays on one person, the short switches to a single full-height shot of whoever is talking, so the other slot is not left showing an empty chair. A one-second reaction shot is treated as part of the conversation, so the layout does not flicker back and forth either.

Is split-screen included on the free plan?

Yes. It is on by default for every vertical 9:16 clip on every plan, free included, with nothing to switch on. Free clips carry a watermark; paid plans, or the EUR 8.99 unlock on a free video, export them clean.
